Problemas ortográficos del español actual

Abstract

Ortografía española ha sido, en ciertos períodos, relacionada sobre todo con la escritura. Esta es la razón por la que a algunas características decisivas de la teoría y práctica ortográfica como el estrés, puntuación, abreviatura y ortografía técnica no se ha prestado la atención que merecen. Esto puede ayudar a explicar los graves problemas que algunos textos escritos pueden mostrar en el uso de aspectos tan importantes y decisivos. Este ensayo tiene como objetivo resolver estos problemas metodológicos uniendo teoría y práctica, y mediante la aplicación de las ideas de la RAE y de J. Martínez de Sousa, entre otros, al estudio de los errores ortográficos y dificultades en una selección de textos con el fin de proporcionar soluciones a estos problemas.

Spanish orthography has, in certain periods, been concerned above all with spelling. This is the reason why such decisive features of orthographical theory and practice as stress, punctuation, abbreviation and technical orthography have not been paid the attention they deserve. This may help to explain the serious problems that some written texts may show in the use of such important and decisive aspects. This essay aims to solve these methodological problems by joining theory and practice, and by applying the ideas of the RAE and J. Martínez de Sousa, among others, to the study of orthographical mistakes and difficulties in a selection of texts in order to provide solutions to these problems.
