Carolina Coronado in her historical novel, "La Sigea", recreated the atmosphere of John III of Portugal´s court during the stay of the Castilian scholar Luisa Sigea. In her friendship circle, Carolina Coronado imagines the presence of Luis de Camões that she describes physically and psychologically, making him the main character of the plot. As we will see, when representing Camões literarily, the Spanish writer uses the elements of the imagotype that Portuguese Romanticism emphasizes, adding others based on a personal reading of the Portuguese poet as figure. |
