El derecho a la libertad religiosa y el uso del velo islámico en España

Abstract

A lo largo del presente trabajo se expone la problemática planteada en torno al uso del velo islámico por la mujer musulmana, se discute si efectivamente el uso del velo contraviene el derecho a la igualdad de la mujer, se examinan los casos más conocidos que en torno a esta cuestión se han planteado en España y en definitiva, se pretende dar una visión general de la problemática que ha existido, así como de las soluciones que se han ido dando por parte de los poderes públicos y de los Tribunales.

Throughout the present work, the problem posed by the use of the Islamic veil by Muslim women is presented, and it is discussed whether or not the use of the veil contravenes women's right to equality. The report examines the best known cases that have arisen in Spain on this issue and, in short, the veil contravenes women's right to equality, aims to give an overview of the problems that have existed, as well as the solutions that have been provided by the public authorities and the courts.
