Ensayos críticos en Historia del Pensamiento Económico: la evolución de las instituciones capitalistas a través de tres proyectos radicales

Abstract

La hipótesis que seguimos en esta tesis doctoral es que también las teorías económicas son un producto de esta realidad material, de los conflictos e instituciones específicas que describen, discuten, y que pretenden transformar. En base a ello, examinamos tres planteamientos críticos con el sistema capitalista que ilustran diferentes etapas o regímenes de acumulación del sistema capitalista, que son: i) Socialismo Utópico; ii) Crítica de la Economía Política; y iii) Teoría Monetaria Moderna. A través de estos proyectos podemos examinar en qué parte de la superestructura se localiza el conflicto, lo que responde al estado de madurez de las relaciones sociales de producción; y cómo estos conflictos incitan la transformación de la superestructura, derivando el conflicto hacia el cambio institucional y la formación de nuevas estructuras. Primero, desde la propiedad de la tierra al control de los medios de producción, y después, desde el control de los medios de producción al control sobre el dinero.

The hypothesis that we follow in this doctoral thesis is that economic theories are also a product of this material reality, of the specific conflicts and institutions that they describe, discuss, and seek to transform. Based on this, we examine three critical approaches to the capitalist system that illustrate different stages or regimes of accumulation of the capitalist system, which are: i) Utopian Socialism; ii) Criticism of Political Economy; and iii) Modern Monetary Theory. Through these projects we can examine where in the superstructure the conflict is located, which responds to the state of maturity of the social relations of production; and how these conflicts incite the transformation of the superstructure, deriving the conflict towards institutional change and the formation of new structures. First, from ownership of land to control of the means of production, and later, from control of the means of production to control over money.
