El convento de San Antonio de Trujillo. De cenobio a hotel

Abstract

El edificio que acoge actualmente al Hotel Izán está ubicado en el antiguo convento de San Antonio, en la calle y plaza de su mismo nombre, que habitaron las religiosas Descalzas franciscanas. El Padre de la Cueva, sacerdote trujillano y don Francisco Sánchez, son los que consiguieron que se construyera el convento para Religiosas de la Orden Clarisas. Presentamos un estudio histórico-artístico completísimo sobre los orígenes del convento, su arquitectura y pinturas murales que aún se conservan, así como el proceso de restauración y consolidación del mismo para adaptarlo a Hotel.

The building is currently home to the Hotel Izan is located in the convent of San Antonio, on the street and square of the same name, who inhabited the religious Franciscan nuns.
