| Abstract: | El presente artículo tiene la finalidad de dar a conocer y reivindicar el papel de la mujer como escenógrafa y figurinista en el ámbito geográfico de las Islas Canarias durante los siglos XIX, XX y XXI. Se pretende construir un discurso totalmente nuevo que contribuya a paliar la falta de atención que han tenido tradicionalmente las mujeres en la historiografía artística, mediante la aportación y análisis de fuentes inéditas y de diversa naturaleza. The aim of this paper is to announce and reclaim the woman’s rol as scenographer and costume designer in Canary Islands during the nineteenth, twentieth and twentieth-first centuries. We intend to create a completely new discourse which contributes to continue covering the lack of attention that women have traditionally had in artistic Historiography through the inclusion and analysis of unpublished sources. |
