Utilidad terapéutica del malato ácido de clebopride en los trastornos de la motilidad gástrica del perro: 8 casos clínicos

Abstract

El malato ácido de clebopride es un antiemético de actividad antidopaminérgica. Es además un agente colinérgico, que aumenta el tono y la amplitud de las contracciones gástricas a la vez que relaja el canal pilórico. Aumenta las contracciones en segmentos proximales de intestino delgado y tiene efectos antieméticos a nivel central. Se ha estudiado su utilidad terapéutica en 8 perros con distintos tipos de trastornos de la motilidad gástrica. Tres presentaban retraso en el vaciado gástrico y el resto dilatación gástrica, sobrecarga gástrica, gastritis aguda y crónica y hernia hiatal. En todos los casos hubo una notable mejoría después del tratamiento.

Clebopride malate acid is an antiemetic drug with antidopaminergic action. lt is also a cholinergic agent, which increases the tone and amplitude of the stomach contractions, at the same time as it produces the relaxation of the pylorus. This compound increases the contractions in the proximal parts of the small intestina and exerts antiemetics efects at a central level. The therapeutical use of clebopride malate acid has been studied in eight dogs suffering from different types of disorders ofthe gastric motility. Three ofthem showed delayed gastric emptying, and the rest, disorders such gastric dilatation, gastric overload, acute and chronic gastritis and hiatal hernia. There was a remarkable recovery after the treatment in ali the cases.
