Especies de flebotomos (Diptera, Psychodidae) presentes en la ciudad de Cáceres

Abstract

Se estudian las especies de flebotomos (Díptera, Psychodidae) en la ciudad de Cáceres, empleando, como método de captura papeles impregnados en aceite de ricino, los cuales fueron colocados en barbacanas o muros de contención durante los meses de marzo a noviembre de 1994. Los resultados obtenidos revelan la existencia de seis especies, cinco del Género Phlebotomus: Ph. perniciosus, Ph. longicuspis, Ph. ariasi, Ph. sergenti y Ph. papa tasi; una del Género Sergentomyia (S. minuta) y ejemplares machos intermedios entre las especies Ph. perniciosus y Ph. longicuspis.

The existing species of Phlebotomus in the city of Caceres have been studies in this work; for this, as capture method, have been used papers impregnated with castor oíl, which were placed in barbicans or containing walls, during the period that extends from March to November of 1994. The obtained results revealed the existence of six different species: five of them belonging to the Genus Phlebotomus: Ph. perniciosus, Ph. longicuspis, Ph. ariasi, Ph. sergenti and Ph. papatasi and one pertaining to the Genus Sergentomyia (S. minuta), as well as male specimens halfway between the two species Ph. perniciosus and Ph. longicuspis.
