Notas sobre la Campaña de Portugal en 1762. Los desertores

Abstract

Estas líneas abordan uno de los episodios más desconocidos de la historia compartida entre España y Portugal, la invasión de Portugal en 1762 por el ejército español, y al que sus respectivas historiografías apenas han dedicado unos pocos trabajos. A pesar de haber sido calificada la guerra de los Siete Años en que aquella se inserta como la primera a escala mundial, la producción científica no ha respondido al interés que necesariamente debiera haber despertado este episodio y se cuentan con los dedos de las manos los trabajos que en España se han publicado sobre el particular.

These lines deal with one of the most unknown episodes of the shared history between Spain and Portugal, the invasion of Portugal in 1762 by the Spanish army, to which their respective historiographies have dedicated only a few works. In spite of the fact that the Seven Years' War, in which it is inserted, has been qualified as the first war on a world scale, the scientific production has not responded to the interest that this episode should necessarily have awakened, and the works published in Spain on the subject are counted on the fingers of one hand.
