Abstract

En un medio como el fotográfico, donde la imagen está siempre sujeta a una aparente objetividad, la manipulación, no sólo del soporte sino también del objeto que se destina a ser fotografiado, es uno de los recursos que más se han venido utilizando en ese intento de aproximar la fotografía a la consecución de productos eminentemente subjetivos. La historia de la fotografía como medio de expresión artística ha supuesto un continuo ir y venir por una expresión que basándose siempre en la subjetividad del fotógrafo ha utilizado procedimientos que oscilan entre el purismo, entendido aquí como ausencia de intervención tanto en el referente como en la fotografía, y la manipulación, en la que se pone de manifiesto de una manera más o menos evidente la intervención del fotógrafo.
