Tecnología y aprendizaje colaborativo en el diseño de materiales para desarrollo del pensamiento abstracto en didáctica de las matemáticas

Abstract

Las matemáticas son un referente fundamental en la formación de cualquier escolar y a la vez constituye una dificultad notable en el panorama educativo actual. El desarrollo del pensamiento lógicomatemático de los niños representa por ello uno de los desafíos más importantes que afrontan los maestros de este área. Así pues, lograr que los futuros maestros adquieran competencias profesionales en este campo es un reto para los formadores de maestros en las Facultades de Educación en el área de Didáctica de las Matemáticas. Este trabajo quiere ser una exposición y análisis de las perspectivas actuales del “aprendizaje colaborativo" con soporte TIC para mejorar la formación de maestros en este área. El diseño de una actividad en el último curso en la diplomatura de Magisterio se enmarca en la asignatura “Desarrollo del pensamiento matemático y su didáctica" y trata de ser una muestra de las habilidades prácticas adquiridas por los alumnos con estos métodos. El diseño de situaciones de aprendizaje colaborativo con soporte TIC que permite colaborar sin coincidir en el espacio ni en el tiempo y acceder a cantidades ingentes de información, plantea enriquecedoras propuestas en la didáctica de las matemáticas.

Mathematics play an essential role on the education of any student and imply, at the same time, an outstanding difficulty in the educational scene today. The development of the logical‐mathematical thinking in children represents therefore one of the most important challenges faced by teachers of this subject. Thus, making future Mathematics teachers acquire professional abilities in this field is most challenging for teacher trainers in Faculties of Education within the area of the Didactics of Mathematics. This essay intends to be an exposition and analysis of the current perspectives in “collaborative learning” with the support of Information and Communication Technologies in order to improve teacher training on this area. The design of an activity in the last year of the Bachelor of Education Degree is part of the subject “Development of the mathematical thinking and its didactics” and tries to be a proof of the practical abilities acquired by students using these methods. The design of collaborative learning situations with the support of Information and Communication Technologies – which allows collaborating without coinciding in space and time and having access to huge amounts of information – creates enriching proposals in the Didactics of Mathematics.
