Los múltiples rostros de Lisístrata: tradición e influencia de la "Lisístrata" de Aristófanes

Abstract

El presente artículo ofrece un estudio de la tradición clásica de Lisístrata, el personaje literario creado por Aristófanes a fines del siglo V a.C. Se ofrece un panorama que parte de la Antigüedad y que llega hasta finales del siglo XX. De este modo, analizamos los distintos rostros de este personaje, las diferentes maneras en que Lisístrata ha sido interpretada y asimilada a lo largo del tiempo y, finalmente, su renovación en la época contemporánea, el momento histórico en el que Lisístrata se ha convertido en la obra mejor conocida de Aristófanes.

The present article offers a study of Lysistrata’s classical tradition, the literary character created by Aristophanes at the end of Vth century B.C. A panorama is offered from the Antiquity to the end of XXth century. In this way, we analyze the different faces of this literary personage, the different ways in wich Lysistrata has been interpreted and assimilated throughout the time, and, finally, its renovation in the contemporary age, historical moment in which Lysistrata has become the most well-known comedy of Aristophanes.
