Desarrollo educativo y laboral: investigación longitudinal desde la adolescencia al periodo adulto

Abstract

Con esta comunicación se presenta la investigación longitudinal sobre itinerarios académicos y profesionales del alumnado escolarizado en la Comarca de Monzón (Huesca) que el autor inició en 1993. Aquella investigación dejó identificada la muestra y permitió una aproximación totalmente realista a ciertas variables (como el rendimiento académico) de la población escolarizada por aquél entonces. Superada esa primera fase, y dejando discurrir el tiempo, en 1999 se retomó el contacto con la muestra para conocer su evolución académica y profesional. Y de nuevo, al final de 2003 se reinició la comunicación para determinar, diez años después del inicio de la investigación, cuál ha sido la evolución vital de aquellos niños que en 1993 estaban en los albores de la adolescencia, y que en estos años se han convertido en jóvenes adultos que están dando -o a punto de dar- el gran paso que significa el acceso al mundo laboral. El propósito de esta comunicación es presentar la investigación realizada, caracterizar la situación de la muestra y estudiar las características fundamentales de su evolución, intentando encontrar los aspectos más significativos del desarrollo académico y profesional en el paso de la adolescencia al periodo adulto.

This paper presents the longitudinal research on academic and professional itineraries of students attending school in the region of Monzón (Huesca) that the author began in 1993. That research identified the sample and allowed a totally realistic approach to certain variables (such as academic performance) of the school population at that time. Once this first phase was over, and time had passed, in 1999 contact with the exhibition was resumed in order to learn about its academic and professional evolution. And again, at the end of 2003, communication was restarted to determine, ten years after the beginning of the research, what has been the vital evolution of those children who in 1993 were at the dawn of adolescence, and who in these years have become young adults who are taking - or about to take - the great step that means access to the world of work. The purpose of this communication is to present the research carried out, characterize the situation of the sample and study the fundamental characteristics of its evolution, trying to find the most significant aspects of academic and professional development in the transition from adolescence to adulthood.
