La asignatura del médico de finales del siglo XX: la bioética médica

Abstract

Las Facultades de Medicina de la Universidad española ya han comenzado a introducir esta materia en los planes de estudio. Los cambios en la relación médico/ enfermo y la sociedad como tercer elemento interviniente en esta relación exigen profundas transformaciones de ésta. Por ello lo natural es que surjan posiciones diferentes ante hechos que en otros tiempos se decidían unilateralmente y que hoy necesitarían del recurso a consideraciones de naturaleza bioética.

The Faculties of Medicine of the Spanish University have already begun to introduce this subject into the study plans. The changes in the doctor/patient relationship and society as a third intervening element in this relationship require profound transformations of it. Therefore, it is natural that different positions arise regarding facts that in other times were decided unilaterally and that today would require recourse to considerations of a bioethical nature.
