Límites y retos de la globalización: frontera-horizonte y gobierno de la tecnosfera

Abstract

En este artículo abordamos el concepto de frontera-horizonte, el cual postula que las fronteras de la globalización deben ser concebidas como retos y límites que afectan a la humanidad como un todo. El objetivo principal es generar un conocimiento teórico y reflexivo que sirva como instrumento de intervención sobre la realidad social para tratar de mejorarla. La metodología utilizada es de carácter cualitativo; combinando las perspectivas emic y etic conforman una perspectiva “glocal”. Nos servimos de información proveniente tanto de fuentes primarias como secundarias, incluyendo la experiencia personal del investigador. Los resultados apuntan a que las causas profundas de la actual situación son de naturaleza intangible y están vinculadas con cuestiones éticas y educativas. De igual manera, entre las principales conclusiones destacamos la necesidad de conformar una nueva conciencia colectiva global —alejada de los postulados del ordoliberalismo— integradora de las diferencias y orientada al bien común.

In this article we approach the concept of border- horizon, which postulates that the frontiers of globalization must be conceived as challenges and as limits that affect Humanity as a whole. Its main objective is to generate reflexive knowledge, of theoretical character, that serves as instrument of intervention on the social reality to try to improve it. The methodology used is qualitative and combines the “emic” and “etic” perspectives, forming a “glocal perspective”. We use information from both primary and secondary sources, including the personal experience of the researcher. The results point to the fact that the root causes of the current “situation” are intangible in nature and are ultimately linked to ethical and educational issues. Among the main conclusions we highlight the need to form a new global collective consciousness, far from the postulates of ordoliberalism, integrating differences and oriented to the common good.
