Apuntes sobre los contrastes de la Villa y Corte de Madrid entre finales del siglo XVIII y comienzos del siglo XIX

Abstract

En el presente artículo se aportan referencias concretas sobre el seguimiento, y oposiciones, de los maestros plateros que ocuparon los cargos de contrastes de la Villa y Corte de Madrid entre finales del siglo XVIII y comienzos de la siguiente centuria. Para ello, hemos utilizado la documentación procedente del fondo que se custodia en el Archivo General de Simancas dedicado a la Junta General de Comercio y Mondeda.

This article provides specific references on the monitoring, and examinations, of the master silversmiths who held the positions of contrasts of the Villa and Court of Madrid between the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the following century. To do this, we have used the documentation from the fund kept in the General Archive of Simancas dedicated to the General Board of Commerce and Currency.
