Contemplación del misterio de la Eucaristía

Abstract

Hemos intentado adentrarnos en el misterio de la Eucaristía para conocerlo mejor, celebrarlo con una fe más profunda y vivirlo con mayor autenticidad, llevando una existencia eucarística. Para ello hemos recordado la finalidad y los objetivos básicos del Año Eucarístico convocado por Juan Pablo II de feliz recuerdo y que ha sido clausurado por Benedicto XVI, hemos hecho una lectura creyente y entrañable del relato de los discípulos de Emaús en quienes nos hemos visto y sentido, hemos vuelto a sobrecogernos ante los relatos bíblicos de la Institución de la Eucaristía y nos hemos acercado a la celebración de la Eucaristía en las primeras Comunidades Cristianas. Además, hemos puesto de relieve las exigencias humanas, espirituales, morales, eclesiales y sociales que lleva la Eucaristía para quienes participan en ella. Finalmente hemos hecho una llamada a la participación “activa, consciente y fructuosa” en la Eucaristía Dominical y una exhortación por María, “mujer eucarística”.

We have attempted to penetrate into the mystery of the Eucharist in order to gain a better understanding of it, as well as to celebrate it with a more profound faith and to live a more authentic existence having a eucharistic-centered lifestyle. For such a purpose, we have recollected both the object and the basic aims of the EucharisticYear summoned by the late Pope John Paul II and which has been brought to a close by Benedict XVI. We have interpreted with affection the attractive account of the Emmaus Road disciples, with whom we feel at one.we have also been startled once again by the Biblical accounts repeated duting the Eucharist and have come close to its celebration within the first Christian Communities. In addition, we have emphasized the human, spiritual, moral, ecclesiastic and social requirements which the Eucharist entails for those who take part in it. Finally, we have called for an active, conscious and productive participation within Sunday Eucharist and for exhortation about the Virgin Mary, the “eucharistic woman”.
