Hombre, familia y amor: una visión evolucionista

Abstract

¿Podemos entender el amor desde la evolución de la materia? ¿Es consecuencia de esta evolución? En el presente artículo intentamos dar respuesta a estas preguntas. Las fuerzas de atracción-repulsión de la materia-energía, la cooperación y el altruismo entre organismos, el cuidado de las crías, el fuerte vínculo sexual y las emociones han trazado el camino hacia el amor. Pero el amor es exclusivamente humano. La evolución puede haber favorecido el nacimiento del eros y de la filia, pero el ágape no tiene precedente en el Universo.

Can we understand love through the evolution of the matter? Is it a consequence of this evolution? In the current article we try to answer these questions. The forces of attraction-repulsion of the matter-energy, the cooperation and the altruism among organisms, the care of the babies, the strong sexual bond and the emotions have drawn the way towards love. But love is exclusively human. Biological evolution may have favoured the birth of “eros” and “philia”, but “agape” does not have precedents in the Universe.
