| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | Nowadays, the principal theories that deal with the emotions is doing their researches into two main factors: the physiological and the cognitive. Surprisingly, despite the temporal distance and technological differences regarding the Middle Ages, there is an incredible coincidence in their approach. These two aspects−with different nomenclature, pathos and soma− are the common approach undertaken by philosophers both Christians and Muslims and also Jews. Through an Spanish-Jewish funerary inscription written in the Thirteenth Century we will try to shed light on some emotions arising from the particular phenomenon of death: specifically, parental pain and insanity caused by the loss of his beloved son. | es_ES |
