Femme-objet on homme-objet colette?

Abstract

El presente artículo desea mostrar que Colette, a pesar de las apariencias, no cree en la mujer como objeto sino más bien lo detesta. Sus mujeres no están permitidas, sólo la tradición la sociedad y la educación adquirida, demuestran lo contrario. Las mujeres de Colette no ofrecen sus cuerpos sólo para placer sexual sino para el amor. Sin embargo, como la función que le ha asignado la sociedad es de objeto, no se han resignado y desean otra cosa, en su lugar algo inusual e ilógico considerar al macho objeto. Así el hombre siempre será una figura secundaria. Será objeto en la medida que es objeto visual. Así las descripciones fabulosas y voluptuosas del cuerpo del macho, no se limitan a su físico estructural, sino hacia el animal, un concepto que todos los hombres reciben, un cuerpo para ver, tocar y dominar.

The present article wishes to show that Colette, inspite of appearances, does not believe in woman as an objet, rather she detests her. Her women are not allowed: only society, tradition and acquired education wish to prove otherwise. Colette's women do not offer their bodies, solely for sensual pleasure, but, and above all, for love. However, since the function society has assigned her is that of being an objet, the women of Colette do not resing themselves to it and wish for something else instead, something unusual and illogical: considering the male as a subject-matter. In this way the man, always a secondary figure will be an object in as much as he is a visual object. Thus the fabulous and voluptuous descriptions of the male body which do not merely linger on his structural physique, but go towards the «animal», a concept for which all men are given only one body to see, to touch and therefore to dominate.
