Treinta años de economía y sociedad extremeña, 1983-2013

Abstract

Se ofrece un estudio sobre la economía y la sociedad extremeña a partir de 1980. Se trata de un análisis completo de las condiciones sociopolíticas de la zona suroeste de España.

Es, sin duda, una puesta al día de datos y estudios sobre la economía y la sociedad de Extremadura, que muestra los progresos de una de las regiones autonómicas de España con menores índices de PIB.

Se abordan, además, otros aspectos de la historia y la política de esta región española, como son el trabajo, la población, el sistema de investigación, desarrollo e innovación, ayuda social… Es, pues, un trabajo interdisciplinar sobre una sociedad en crecimiento y transformación, como se infiere de la lectura atenta de los diferentes ensayos que la integran.

A study on the economy and the society of Extremadura offered since 1980. It is a comprehensive analysis of the sociopolitical conditions of the southwest of Spain. It is undoubtedly an update of data and studies on the economy and society of Extremadura, which shows the progress of one of the autonomous regions of Spain with lower rates of GDP. It also addressed other aspects of the history and politics of this Spanish region, such as work, the population, the system for research, development and innovation, social assistance ... It is therefore an interdisciplinary work on a growing society and transformation, as inferred from a careful reading of the various tests within it.
