Sobre el concepto de morfema

Abstract

En este trabajo se intenta demostrar las dificultades procedente desde una definición precisa y rigurosa del morfema. Debemos tener en cuenta la cantidad de problemas que el morfema presenta tanto desde el punto de vista del significante como desde el punto de vista del contenido. Debemos insistir en la falta de simetría y paralelismo existente entre el morfema como entidad abstracta y como realización fónica. Si algunas corrientes lingüísticas niegan el concepto de palabra, deberían revisar las definiciones de oración y morfema también, solo en estos casos debían negar esos conceptos.

This paper tries to evidence the difficulties procedeing from a precise and rigorous definition of the morpheme. We must take into account the amount of problems that the morpheme presents either from the point of view of the significant and from the point of view of the content. We must insist on the lack of symmetry and parallelism existing between the morpheme as an abstract entity and as phonic realization. If some linguistic currents deny the concept of word, they should review the definitions of sentence and morpheme as well, just in case they also had to deny those concepts.
