This project was born with the idea of improving the implantology system that we can find today in the market; this is why the main aims of this project are: design a viable alternative to the current processes, design the procedures and also the necessary products to carry this idea’s materialization out. In order to achieve this, we have followed the synectics methodology, which means that, by analogies, this is what has allowed us to get to the end of the project. The final product is basically based on two ideas; the first one is to imitate the nature as much as possible, and the second one to make the most of the characteristics of the used materials. This why, our product is formed by three parts that, joined together, are morphologically identical to a natural tooth. These parts are: the crown, aesthetic element of the implant, made of zirconia and imitating perfectly the tooth part that has been lost; the abutment, which is the pieces that put them together, it is made of titanium and is on the inside, so it will not be seen when the product is finished; and the implant, that imitates the alveolar cavity geometry, it is also made of titanium and we can take advantage of the material contraction and dilatation with the temperature changes in order to generate the necessary pre-fixation for the implant to be functional from the very beginning. This way, we fulfil all the marked objectives with the intention of improving the current processes in time as well as in the impact for the patient.
