Abstract: Con este artículo se pretende dar a conocer un poco más la vida del profesor e investigador Arcadio Guerra, quien ejerció de Maestro, de Profesor de Gramática de Enseñanza Media y en la Escuela Normal de Magisterio. Asimismo fue bibliotecario de la Real Sociedad Económica de Amigos del País, y archivero de la Diputación Provincial. Su obra escrita incuye: el Callejero de la ciudad, de Badajoz, Godoy y la cultura española, cincuenta y dos artículos de historia, en la Revista de Estudios Extremeños, seis en la Revista Alminar y uno en la Revista CARABO. Este trabajo pretende ser una semblanza o retrato de su persona.
I intend with this article to make the life and times of the teacher and researcher Arcadio Guerra, a little more known, alart from being a primary Schoolteacher and a Grammar School Teacher. He also Taugnt in the Normal Teachers· Training College. At the same time he occupied the posts of librarían to the Royal Economic Society of the country and archivist in the Provincial Diputation. His written works include: A street map of the city of Badajoz, Godoy and spanish culture, fifty-two historical articles in the magazine extemeñan studies, six articles in de magazine Alminar, and one in the magazine CARABO. These works best indicate Don Arcadio's personal profile or portrait.
