El presente artículo trata de exponer las teorías y definiciones más relevantes y actuales acerca del estrés; el impacto del estrés en la salud y las alteraciones que provoca así como la intervención comportamental para su control. Señala también los factores y las condiciones que modulan su influencia.

The purpose of this article is to expose the latest and most important theories and definitions about stress; the impact on health, the alterations that it produces and the behavioral intervention to control it. lt also deals with factors that produce it and the conditions that modulate its influence.
