El Alcázar de Plasencia: historia y destrucción

Abstract

El Alcázar de Plasencia es una construcción mencionada por varios expertos en sus trabajos, sin embargo, la destrucción a la que fue sometido con el tiempo, ha quedado relegada al olvido. Por este motivo, el siguiente trabajo está dedicado a la historia del Alcázar, no tanto a su vivencia como edificio emblemático de un tiempo concreto, sino a su nacimiento como fortaleza y su progresiva destrucción, desde el siglo XV, con pequeñas modificaciones, hasta el siglo XX, en el que se consintió su destrucción total ante la impasibilidad de los habitantes.

The fortress in Plasencia is a building mentioned by several experts in their works, however, the destruction it suffered in time, has been consigned to oblivion. This is why this project is devoted to the history of the fortress, not only to its experience as an emblematic building of a concrete time but also to its birth as a fortress and its progressive destruction from the fifteenth century, with little modifications, until the twentieth century in which its total destruction was allowed faced with the impassiveness of the citizens.
