Las pinturas de la galería en la reforma de Casa Bofarull (1913-1933), de Josep M. Jujol

Abstract

La reforma de Casa Bofarull (1913-1933) es la obra de arco cronológico más duradero que el arquitecto Josep M. Jujol realiza a lo largo de su trayectoria profesional. Formando parte de la nueva fachada que Jujol habilitará en la parte posterior del inmueble, un conjunto de pinturas al temple dibujarán el nuevo zócalo, bajo un azul intenso, que dará fondo a la fachada posterior. Las pinturas, actualmente en un proceso de degradación avanzado, son un manifiesto artístico de la forma de trabajar del arquitecto: lo narrativo, lo doméstico y lo figurativo convivirán, simultáneamente, con lo irregular, lo territorial y lo abstracto. Analizar esas pinturas es el objeto de las líneas que siguen a continuación.

Reform of Bofarull House (1913-1933) is the work of more lasting chronological arc that the architect Josep M. Jujol did during his professional career. As part of the new facade Jujol enabled on the back of the house, a set of tempera paintings forms the new socket, under a deep blue, which will fund the rear facade. Paintings, currently in advanced degradation process, are an artistic manifesto of how the architect worked: the narrative, the domestic and the figurative coexist simultaneously with the irregular, the territorial and the abstract. The analysis of these paintings is the object of the research paper.
