Title: La obra cacereña y sevillana de Luis Salvador Carmona: concomitancias estilísticas
Author: Díaz Fernández, Ezequiel A.
The group of works signed by Luis Salvador Carmona, kept in several churches in Estepa (Sevilla), shows the high artistic levels achieved by one of the most eminent mid-eighteenth-century Spanish sculptors. Carmona’s artistic work started following the Castilian and Andalusian Baroque sculpture tradition, it continued with influences from the artistic tendencies of some European Courts, mainly the French and Italian Courts; later he joined the splendorous rococo aesthetic and culminated in the moderate neoclassical trend.
