Abstract: El Objetivo principal de la investigación es conocer si las Empresas de Trabajo Temporal (ETT) facilitan flexibilidad laboral, y conocer si realmente son una herramienta que sirve para que las empresas dispongan de esta flexibilidad, y qué ventajas pueden proporcionar a las empresas que las usan. De esta manera se estudia los tipos de flexibilidad que aportan las ETT y si efectivamente cumplen un papel dinámico en términos de la misma. Hace una exhaustiva revisión de la literatura que pretende un primer análisis sobre el Trabajo Temporal y el contexto en el que surge este término, así como la aparición de la agencia de colocación y posterior ETT Analizando el concepto de trabajo temporal, su origen y evolución histórica, así como las primeras empresas que ofrecen trabajadores a tiempo parcial y cómo se establece el marco de las actuales ETT y su papel como mecanismo flexibilizador del mercado laboral. La segunda parte de la investigación aborda el término de flexibilidad laboral. A través del análisis de diversas variables este trabajo ha identificado en un modelo, los factores que influyen en la flexibilidad que aportan las ETT a las empresas usuarias. La parte empírica se desarrolla en un estudio cualitativo a través de un estudio de casos múltiples a 10 grandes empresas. El estudio concluyó que las empresas entrevistadas ratifican que en un entorno cambiante de demanda global las ETT le aportan flexibilidad para adecuar su mano de obra, y esto les ayuda a conseguir sus objetivos de rentabilidad.
The main objective of the research is to know if the Temporary Work Companies facilitate labor flexibility, and to know if they really are a tool that allows companies to have this flexibility, and what advantages can provide to the companies that use them. It makes an exhaustive review of the literature that intends a first analysis on Temporal Work and the context in which this term arises, as well as the appearance of the agency of placement and later Temporary Work Companies analyzing the concept of temporary work, its origin and historical evolution. The second part of the research addresses the term of labor flexibility. Through the analysis of several variables this work has identified in a model, the factors that influence the flexibility that the the Temporary Work Companies contribute to the user companies. The empirical part is developed in a qualitative study through a multiple case study of 10 large companies. The study concluded that the companies interviewed confirm that in a changing environment of global demand Temporary Work Companies provide the flexibility to adapt their workforce, and this helps them achieve their profitability objectives.
