Resumen: El presente trabajo de investigación se centró en conocer la evolución de la cantidad de actividad física, la regulación de los motivos de práctica y la percepción de la imagen corporal en el paso de sexto de Educación Primaria a primero de Educación Secundaria. Y conocer la influencia del nivel de actividad física, la regulación de las motivaciones y la percepción de la imagen corporal en la intencionalidad de ser físicamente activos/as en el futuro. El estudio es de tipo transversal y longitudinal utilizando el cuestionario como instrumento de recogida de datos. La muestra total fueron alumnos/as de centros educativos de Badajoz (n=542). Los resultados indican que el alumnado que está satisfecho con su imagen corporal en ambas etapas (RTC=3.6). Existe asociación significativa entre la imagen corporal y el género (p<.05). Los/as alumnos/as activos/as en Educación Primaria también son activos/as en Educación Secundaria. Se encontraron asociaciones entre la actividad física y las variables género, nivel de actividad física de los progenitores y nivel de actividad física de los/as amigos/as (p<.05). Los alumnos que desean practicar actividad física en el futuro en Primaria también lo hacen en Secundaria (p<.01). Los/as alumnos/as de Educación Primaria muestran puntuaciones más altas que los de Educación Secundaria en la regulación intrínseca-identificada, introyectada y en la desmotivación; observándose algunas diferencias significativas en función de algunas variables socio demográficas y la actividad física familiar y de los iguales (p<.05). El alumnado que está motivado de forma intrínseca-identificada tiene la intención de ser físicamente activos/as en el futuro.
The present research work is focused on the evolution of the amount of physical activity, the regulation of the practice motives and the perception of the body image in the passage from sixth of Primary Education to first of Secondary Education. And to know the influence of the level of physical activity, the regulation of the different types of motivation and the perception of the body image in the intentionality of being physically active in the future. The study is of transversal and longitudinal type using the questionnaire as instrument of data collection. The total sample was students from educational centers in Badajoz (n = 542). The results indicate that students who are satisfied with their body image in both stages (RTC=3.6). There is a significant association between body image and gender (p <.05). The students active in Primary Education are also active in Secondary Education. Associations were found between physical activity and gender variables, level of physical activity of the parents and level of physical activity of the friends (p<.05). The Students who wish to practice physical activity in the future in Primary also do in Secondary (p<.01). Primary school students show higher scores than secondary education in the intrinsic-identified, introjected and demotivation regulation; Some significant differences were observed according to some sociodemographic variables and the physical activity of the family and the peers (p <.05). The students that are intrinsically-motivated have the intention to be physically active in the future.
