Instituciones educativas en Badajoz al fundarse y consolidarse el Monte de Piedad y Caja de Ahorros (1889-1989)

Abstract

El objetivo del presente trabajo consiste en dar a conocer los centros de enseñanza de la provincia de Badajoz, desde la fundación de la Caja de Ahorros (1889) hasta el centenario de dicha fundación. Dividimos el período en dos tramos: l. Instituciones educativas antes de crearse la Universidad (Escuelas de primera enseñanza. Escuelas de Magisterio, Centros de segunda enseñanza, formación profesional, etc ...). 2. La Universidad de Extremadura. Destacan las aportaciones económicas con que contribuyó la Caja de Ahorros de Badajoz al despegue cultural provincial en los 100 años de vida.

The objective of the present project is to make known the teaching centres in the province of Badajoz from the founding of the Saving Bank 1889) to the centenary year of the Bank. We can divide the period into two sections: l. Educational institutions before the creation of the University (Primary teaching schools, Teacher training schools, Secondary schools, Further Education Colleges, etc.) 2. The University of Extremadura. The economic contributions which the Savings Bank of Badajoz has made over the hundred years stand out in the cultural development of the province.
