Juan Duns Escoto y la "affectio iustitiae" como fundamento metafísico-moral del uso

Abstract

En el presente artículo se pretende establecer el fundamento o base metafísica de la relación de las personas con las cosas, es decir, se trata de esclarecer cómo la voluntad humana las quiere. Según Duns Escoto, lo que intrínsecamente lleva a las personas a usar [uti] tales cosas se debe a la interacción de dos afecciones o inclinaciones psicológicas, a saber, la affectio commodi y la affectio iustitiae, las cuales intervienen de modo esencial en la actividad libre del ser humano, específicamente en su relación con el bien.

This article aims to establish the foundation or metaphysical basis of the relationship between people and things, that is, to clarify how the human will wantsthings. According to Duns Scotus, a person is intrinsically led to use [uti] a given thing by the interaction of two affections or psychological inclinations, that is, affection commodi and affectio iustitiae, which are essential for man’s free activity, specifically for man’s relationship to the good.
