Abstract

Al dedicar este artículo a la Belleza Ideal de Esteban de Arteaga, pretendo sacar a la consideración de nuestra generación una obra del siglo XVII con unas características únicas y diferenciales, que con hábil pluma nos lleva por los variados caminos de la Música y la Pedagogía, las Ciencias y la Poesía, la Pintura y la Literatura. Nos hace contemplar los sentimientos del alma, comparando la belleza con los ideales máximos. Expone el sentido de la belleza en el Mundo Clásico, considerándola como ejemplo insuperable de los preceptos artísticos. Como colofón, diremos que Arteaga es un irrepetible crítico-estético, matizado con un profundo sentir por lo histórico.

When I dedicate this article to Esteban de Arteaga's Ideal Beauty, I intend to bring to the consideration of our generation a seventeenth-century work with unique and different characteristics, which with a clever pen takes us through the varied paths of Music and Pedagogy, Sciences and Poetry, Painting and Literature. It makes us contemplate the feelings of the soul, comparing beauty with the maximum ideals. It exposes the sense of beauty in the Classic World, considering it as an insurmountable example of artistic precepts. To conclude, we will say that Arteaga is an unrepeatable.
