Revisión sobre los sistemas tecnológicos empleados en detectar y registrar la frecuencia cardiaca en deporte

Abstract

La frecuencia cardiaca es una de las principales variables utilizada para conocer la intensidad de la actividad física por lo que el análisis de la actividad del corazón durante la realización de ejercicio físico ha sido y es uno de los principales temas de investigación. En este trabajo se ha realizado una revisión de la diferente tecnología de captación y registro de la frecuencia cardiaca disponible actualmente, así como de los distintos sistemas de detección y registro vigentes. A modo de conclusión decir que el desarrollo tecnológico ha permitido generar instrumentos de sencilla utilización y que, de una manera objetiva, facilitan el registro de la intensidad de la actividad física y el deporte.

Heart rate is one of the main variables used to determine the intensity of physical activity. Therefore, the analysis of heart activity during the carrying out of physical exercise has been one of the main research topics. This paper presents a review of the different technology uptake and heart rate recording currently available, as well as the different detection systems and current registration. To sum up, it is necessary to highlight that technological development has allowed generating tools of easy use so, they facilitate the registration of the intensity of physical activity and sport.
