Variantes diafásicas de la diátesis en los cronistas de Indias

Abstract

El objetivo que persigue el presente artículo es analizar las diferentes estructuras de pasiva que se dan: pasivas de proceso, pasivas de resultado, a través de se + verbo en activa, ser + participio de pasado, y estar + participio de pasado, así como la posibilidad de interpretarlas o no como oraciones atributivas. Se intentará aislar los verbos y complementos que seleccionan, su distribución, los participios de pasado que registran: regulares o irregulares, respecto de un proceso de adjetivación o sustantivación que pudieran en algunos casos presentar, ya desde un enfoque español o indio, a través de una fase de mestizaje, si ello resultara viable, con vistas a unas posibles conclusiones que permitan ver el rendimiento estilístico textual de las distintas variantes; es decir, que permitan ver la pasiva como un marcador de estilo en los cronistas de Indias.

The present work pursues the goal of analysing the different passive structures that exist: process and result, through se + active verb, ser + past participle, estar + past participle, and their possible interpretations as attributive sentences. This paper will try to isolate the verbs and objects selected, its distribution, the past participles registered: regular or irregular with regard to a process of adjectival or nominal use, from a Spanish or Indian approach, through a “mestization” stage. This will allow us to reach some conclusions that show the textual stylistic output of the diverse variants, that is, drawing attention to passive constructions used as a stylistic markers in the chroniclers of Indies.
