Abstract

Las fiestas de toros tienen gran importancia y arraigo social en Medellín. Estos son solo algunos de los ejemplos en cada caso. Medellín recibe entre 10 y 12 toros de sus rentas, número insuficiente. Por lo tanto, se ha consolidado la costumbre de recabar en las dehesas de la jurisdicción, en la que predomina el ganado vacuno. La vida se realiza con un claro predominio de la modalidad popular, teniendo en cuenta el desarrollo del trabajo. Sólo se sacrifican algunos ejemplares, frecuentemente los mejores.

Bullfights have great importance and social roots in Medellín. These celebrations, with a limited number of copies in each case, occur throughout the year. Medellín receives between 10 and 12 bulls of their income, insufficient number. For this reason, the habit of collecting cattle in the dehesas of the jurisdiction, in which the cattle predominate, was consolidated. The fight is carried out with a clear predominance of the popular modality, the chivalric bullfighting having a little development. Only some specimens are sacrificed, often the best ones.
