La jornada real de Felipe III de España por Portugal: repertorio literario y mensaje político

Abstract

En 1619 Felipe III de España y II de Portugal realizó un esperado y crucial viaje por tierras lusas, teniendo como cénit la entrada triunfal a la ciudad de Lisboa el día 29 de junio. La jornada regia generó una enorme cantidad de testimonios literarios en prosa y verso, lírico o dramático. El presente artículo ofrece un análisis evolutivo de todos estos testimonios, determinando sus influencias directas y su mensaje político a partir del contexto histórico-literario en el que se enmarcan.

In 1619 Philip III of Spain made his long-awaited and crucial journey through Portugal. The triumphal entry into Lisbon –the 29th of June– represented the peak of his long voyage. The regal journey created an important number of literature testimonies –prose and verse (lyric or dramatic). This article tries to establish the relations between these literature testimonies, their direct sources, and their political message starting from their historical and literary context.
