The present work pretends to demonstrate the degree of association between resilience, anxiety and the meaning of life, as well as to verify the differences between these variables in two age groups and to know the influence of the variable sex. Three standardized instruments for the empirical evaluation of the constructs were applied: the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) and the Purpose-In-Life Test (PIL). These tests were applied to a sample of 215 university students ranging in age from 18 to 31 years. The results indicate that, in terms of gender, there are no significant differences in relation to the levels of any of the variables under study. In relation to the levels of resilience and meaning of life, a significant positive correlation was found between both indicators, as well as a negative relationship between anxiety and the other two variables investigated.
