Poder y estrategias espaciales: el espacio rural-agrario extremeño

Abstract

Cuando el poder desarrolla una estrategia política sobre el espacio que domina, se convierte en un factor decisivo de intervención y alteración de la dinámica espacial propia y, consecuentemente, en la caracterización organizativa y funcional resultantes. De esta forma los espacios y su concreción paisajística son no sólo los resultados, impresiones de las relaciones mantenidas entre el poder y el espacio, sino también: la materialización de sus acciones, la memoria de las sociedades y la herencia recibida de generaciones anteriores que, en poco tiempo habrá de ser transmitida con nuevas huellas y referencias igualmente espaciales (N. Ortega, 1979).

When the power develops a political strategy on the space that dominates, it becomes a decisive factor of intervention and alteration of the own spatial dynamics and, consequently, in the resulting organizational and functional characterization. In this way the spaces and their landscape concretion are not only the results, impressions of the relations maintained between the power and the space, but also: the materialization of their actions, the memory of the societies and the inheritance received from previous generations that, in a short time it will have to be transmitted with new footprints and equally spatial references (N. Ortega, 1979).
