Literatura femenina y educación literaria en la escuela del franquismo: presencia, temática y usos

Abstract

Durante la época franquista, la educación española estuvo controlada por las fuerzas censoras, que vigilaron los contenidos y los materiales educativos empleados en las escuelas. Entre esos materiales se encontraban los libros de texto y entre los contenidos, las lecturas escolares. Por ello resulta interesante analizar la selección de lecturas escolares para descubrir los intereses del régimen en la educación escolar en los niveles básico y medio. En este caso, nos interesa la selección de literatura escrita por mujeres para ver su presencia dentro del canon escolar, analizar la temática de sus textos y ver la intención con la que se usan. En el presente artículo analizamos 37 libros de texto de la época franquista y realizamos un estudio cuantitativo de los textos literarios incluidos para extraer conclusiones sobre la presencia, temática y usos de la literatura femenina en el ámbito escolar.

During the Franco regime, Spanish education was controlled by censorship, which monitored the contents and educational materials used in schools. Among those materials were the school books and among the contents were the school readings. It is interesting to analyze the selection of school readings to discover the interests of the regime in primary education and middle school. In this case, we are interested in the selection of literature written by women to see their presence in the school canon, to analyze the subject matter of their texts and to see the intention with which they are used. In this article, we analyze 37 textbooks from the Francoist Spain and perform a quantitative study of the literary texts included to draw conclusions about the presence, theme and uses of female literature in the school.
