La concepción adulta de la infancia. La construcción de los personajes infantiles en los álbumes "El maravilloso Mini-Peli-Coso" de Beatrice Alemagna y en "Poka & Mina. El despertar" de Kitty Crowther

Abstract

La dualidad constituye una de las características que justifica en mayor medida la complejidad del discurso literario infantil. En el caso del álbum esta dualidad que define el lector implícito generado por el discurso se refleja, entre otros rasgos, en la relación que se establece entre el autor implícito, el personaje y el lector que las dos primeras instancias generan como estrategia textual. Los personajes infantiles se definen así desde la perspectiva del autor adulto y, por ende, de un receptor adulto que busca reconocer un concepto de infancia –también dual– con el que guiar al lector infantil. Por tanto, en el marco de los estudios de Nodelman (2008; 2010) y Nikolajeva (2014), entre otros, se propone una aproximación semiótica a los personajes infantiles desde la dualidad que preside el proceso de creación y de recepción específico de la literatura infantil. Con este fin, se han seleccionado dos obras paradigmáticas en este sentido: “El maravilloso Mini-Peli-Coso” de Beatrice Alemagna y “Poka & Mina. El despertar” de Kitty Crowther. Se centrará la propuesta en el análisis de los protagonistas desde los diferentes códigos que los construyen y en la concepción tanto del autor como del lector que de ellos se deriva.

Ambivalence is one of the characteristics that further justifies the child literary discourse. In the context of the picture-book, this ambivalence, which is defined by the implicit reader that is arised by the discourse and it is shown, among other features, in the relationship established between the implicit author, the character and the reader. Those two first elements of enunciation result in a textual strategy. Children’s characters are defined, through the author’s perspective as an adult, and, for that matter, from an adult receiver who aims to acknowledge the concept of “childhood” ambivalent as well to be able to guide the child reader with it. In the framework of the Nodelman (2008; 2010) and Nikolajeva (2014) studies, among others, there is a proposal based on a semiotic approach to the child characters from the ambivalence, which leads the particular process of creation and reception in the childhood literature field. To this end, two works have been selected: “El maravilloso Mini-Peli-Coso”, by Beatrice Alemagna and “Poka & Mina. El despertar”, by Kitty Crowther. This proposal will be focused on the analysis of the main characters from differents codes that built them. And on the conception that both, from the author and the reader, which from them is derived.
