Abstract

En el presente artículo pretendemos ofrecer una visión panorámica de la obra mitológica de Caius Iulius Higinus. A su vez intentamos resolver las numerosas dudas que se han planteado, primero, sobre la persona del propio Higino, y segundo, sobre si éste Higino fue el autor de las “Fabulae” o “Genealogiae” y del “De astronomía” o, por el contrario, fueron dos autores distintos.

This paper aims to provide an overview of Caius Iulius Higinus’s mythological works. Likewise, different issues dealing with his identity and authorship in certain works are coped with. In particular, whether he was the author of “Fabulae” or “Genealogiae” and of “De astronomia”, or, instead, whether there were two authors involved.
