La base léxica "trvnco" y su grupo lexemático. Delimitación significativa

Abstract

El propósito de este trabajo es analizar los seis verbos que surgieron en latín del sustantivo "truncus”: “contrunco", "detrunco", "obtrunco", "praetrunco" y "trunco". Desde el punto de vista etimológico, todos comparten el significado original de "cortar". Sin embargo, cada cual concreta su campo de acción a un significado particular en función de varios factores: el tipo de objeto seleccionado, el uso de la voz activa o pasiva, o el valor asignado al prefijo son clave para decidir sobre el significado exacto de cada verbo.

The purpose of this paper is to analyse the six verbs that arose in Latin from the noun “truncus”: "contrunco", "detrunco", "obtrunco", "praetrunco" and "trunco". From an etymological point of view, they all share the original meaning of “to cut”. However, each narrowed its field of action to a particular meaning depending on various factors: the type of object selected, the use of active or passive voice, or the value assigned to the prefix are the basis for deciding on the exact meaning of each verb.
