| Abstract: | El “Jardim de Fanimor” de Diogo Ferreira Figueiroa (Lisboa, Manoel Gomez de Carvalho, 1648) fue dedicado a Luisa Francisca de Guzmán, duquesa de Bragança y nueva reina de Portugal tras la restauración de la independencia en 1640. La notable actividad literaria desarrollada por Diogo Ferreira Figueiroa bajo el patronazgo de la Casa de Bragança se vio culminada con la publicación de este panegírico que celebra el nacimiento del infante D. Pedro, el futuro rey D. Pedro II de Portugal. Diogo Ferreira Figueiroa’s “Jardim de Fanimor” (Lisbon, Manoel Gomez de Carvalho, 1648) was dedicated to Luisa Francisca de Guzmán, duchess of Bragança and new queen of Portugal after the restoration of independence in 1640. The remarkable literary activity developed by Diogo Ferreira Figueiroa under the patronage of the House of Bragança reached its highest peak with the publication of this panegyric, celebrating the birth of the “infante” D. Pedro, the future king D. Pedro II of Portugal. |
