La actividad político-militar y la ambición territorial de los marqueses de Villena en Extremadura a través del Memorial de Pedro de Baeza

Abstract

Mediante este estudio se tratará de poner de relieve la importancia que tiene el Memorial escrito por Pedro de Baeza a la hora de entender el declive de los marqueses de Villena a finales del siglo XV, como también, sus ambiciones territoriales, y las complejas relaciones políticas que este linaje mantuvo con la Monarquía castellana durante el reinado de los Reyes Católicos.

This study will try to highlight the importance of the Memorial written by Pedro de Baeza to understand the decline ofthe marquesses of Villena at the end of the 15th century, as well as their territorial ambitions and the complex political relations that this lineage maintained with the Castillian monarchy throughout the reign of the Catholic Kings
