La Psicología de Daredevil

Abstract

Por medio de este trabajo de investigación, se explorará y estudiará la complejidad del personaje de Daredevil, comenzando por analizar su evolución en las viñetas desde que Stan Lee y Bill Everett crearon al personaje en los años 60 hasta el cambio de paradigma que supuso la inclusión de Frank Miller a los guiones y, a partir de ahí, cómo la religión católica es de importante para el personaje y lo transforma en uno de los más complejos e interesantes de Marvel Cómics; ayudándose tanto del aspecto de personalidad como de referencias artísticas católicas para ilustrar los cómics. Finalmente se analizará y juzgara cómo se ha adaptado al personaje al cine y a la televisión. El objetivo de este trabajo es demostrar como un personaje de cómic puede llegar a ser tan complejo como cualquier otro personaje de cualquier otro medio, no importa si es un superhéroe; y tener una gran cantidad de simbolismo que, no únicamente se quede en eso, sino que afecta al carácter moral y a la personalidad de este.

Through this work of research, the complexity of the character of Daredevil is going to be explored and examined, starting by analyzing his evolution in the comic books from when he was created by Stan Lee and Bill Everett in the 1960s until the change of paradigm that the inclusion of Frank Miller brought to the scripts. From that point on, the Catholic religion acquires great importance for the character and it transforms him in one of the most complex and interesting characters in the Marvel Universe. As has been noted, religion is used to create the personality of the character and multiple reference to Christian art are used to illustrate the comic books. Finally, the adaptations of the original materials to the cinema and TV show are going to be analyzed and assessed. The goal of this work is to prove how a comic book character can be as complex as any character from any other medium, notwithstanding whether it is a superhero. Furthermore, such a character can have a great amount of symbolism that affects his or her morality and personality.
