Discurso de contestación a la laudatio y aceptatio de D. Antonio Hernández Gil en el acto de su investidura de Doctor Honoris Causa por la Universidad de Extremadura.

Abstract

Al dar las gracias a la Universidad de Extremadura por haber querido investirme del más honroso de los titulos que puede conceder, quiero decirle cual es el significado intimo que tiene para mi este hecho. Supone el reconocimiento y hasta la restitución de algo que sólo puedo recibir de una Universidad en el mundo, es decir, de ésta en que nos encontramos.

In thanking the University of Extremadura for having wanted to invest me with the most honorable of the titles that it can grant, I want to tell you what is the intimate meaning that this fact has for me. It supposes the recognition and even the restitution of something that I can only receive from one University in the world, that is, from the one in which we find ourselves.
