Los subproductos de cítricos en alimentación animal II. Formas de utilización, métodos de conservación y niveles óptimos de incorporación en las raciones de monogástricos v rumiantes

Abstract

En un trabajo anterior, Pulgar et al. (1992), se ha expuesto la diversidad de subproductos obtenidos en industrias donde se realiza el aprovechamiento integral de los cítricos, así como los datos de composición química y valor nutritivo indicados por diversos grupos de investigadores que han hecho posible que estos subproductos sean de alto interés para su utilización en alimentación animal. La estrategia para lograr su buena utilización ha de basarse en la integración de todos los conocimientos científicos que se han realizado y naturalmente el establecimiento de mercados a nivel nacional y local, dado que la exportación de subproductos sólo es interesante cuando la relación entre el precio de salida de éstos y el de entrada de los cereales, en términos energéticos sea favorable, Pérez-Lanzac y Sebastián (1984). Continuamos la revisión bibliográfica en este trabajo indicando las formas de utilización, métodos de conservación, así como, los niveles de incorporación en la formulación de raciones para rumiantes y monogástricos.

In a previous work, Pulgar et al. (1992), the diversity of by-products obtained in industries where the integral use of citrus fruits is carried out, as well as the data of chemical composition and nutritional value indicated by various groups of researchers that have made it possible for these by-products to be of high interest for use in animal feed. The strategy to achieve its proper use must be based on the integration of all the scientific knowledge that has been obtained and naturally the establishment of markets at national and local level, given that the export of by-products is only interesting when the relationship between the price of output of these and input of cereals, in energy terms is favorable, Pérez-Lanzac and Sebastián (1984). We continue the bibliographic review in this work indicating the forms of use, conservation methods, as well as the levels of incorporation in the formulation of rations for ruminants and monogastrics.
