Las personas mayores activas en entornos urbanos

Abstract

Esta investigación pretende estudiar si el envejecimiento activo, dentro de las ciudades y más específicamente de la ciudad de Cáceres, está limitado por el entorno social inmediato, económico y físico de la persona mayor. La intención es conocer la realidad diaria de las personas mayores activas para facilitar su envejecimiento independiente y en el hogar mediante políticas públicas que verdaderamente respondan a sus necesidades. Dicho de otra forma, conseguir que el envejecimiento con éxito sea factible para la mayoría de la población.

This research aims to study whether active ageing, within cities and more specifically in the city of Cáceres, is limited by the immediate social, economic and physical environment of the older person. The intention is to learn about the daily reality of active older people in order to facilitate their independent ageing at home through public policies that truly respond to their needs. In other words, to make successful ageing feasible for the majority of the population.
