Educación inclusiva: ¿cuestión de competencias?

Abstract

Partiendo de distintas investigaciones con jóvenes que no han conseguido completar con éxito la educación obligatoria, se analiza cómo se construye el concepto de fracaso escolar y lo que el mismo supone para dichos jóvenes. Asimismo, se analizan algunas de las políticas educativas públicas que se han implementado con el fin de paliar este desajuste del sistema educativo y si pueden considerarse medidas de educación inclusiva. Seguidamente se valora si el enfoque por competencias podría ayudar a superar el problema del rezago educativo que termina convirtiéndose en abandono escolar y seproponen algunas características que tendría que cumplir para ello.

Based on different research with young people who have not managed to successfully complete compulsory education, we analyse how the concept of school failure is constructed and what it means for these young people.. It also analyses some of the public education policies that have been implemented with the aim of alleviating this mismatch in the educational system and whether they can be considered inclusive education measures. It then assesses whether the competency-based approach could help to overcome the problem of educational backwardness that ends up turning into school drop-out, and proposes some of the characteristics that it would have to fulfil in order to do so.
